Arelle, XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) standartlarını ve uzantılarını destekleyen, kullanıcı dostu bir araç seti sağlayan uçtan uca bir açık kaynak platformudur. Masaüstü uygulaması olarak kullanılabildiği gibi, web servisleri, komut satırı arayüzü ve Python API'si sayesinde diğer uygulamalar ve programlama dilleriyle entegrasyon da mümkündür.
Bu esnek yapı, XBRL dosyalarının hazırlanması, doğrulanması, dönüştürülmesi ve raporlanması gibi işlemleri tek bir çatı altında toplar. Genişletilebilir mimarisi sayesinde yeni uzantılar ve özelleştirmeler eklenebilir, böylece hem bireysel geliştiriciler hem de kurumlar için güçlü ve ölçeklenebilir bir çözüm sunar.
