Erol Hedef (1934 – 6 July 1991) was a Turkish theater actor, director and voice actor. He worked in state theaters for many years; Cinema audiences remember him mostly with his character Mister Spak in the movie Turist Ömer on Star Trek.
Theatre
He was born in Istanbul in 1934. He graduated from the Theater Department of Ankara State Conservatory and joined the Ankara State Theater staff in 1958. He moved to Izmir State Theater in 1974 and spent the rest of his life in this city. In addition to acting, he also directed at the State Theatres.
Among the productions he took part in are Peter Pan, Lysistrata, The Merchant of Venice and The Purple Notebook. Among the plays he directed are Lagers and Pansiyon Huzur.
Cinema
His work on the big screen was limited to a few films. He played Mister Spak, a reference to Spock from Star Trek, in the 1973 film Omer the Tourist in Star Trek. In 1974, he played a police chief in the movie Satan; He also took part in Yorgun Savaşçı, which was shot in 1979. In addition, he also worked in the field of voice-over.
Erol Hedef died on July 6, 1991 in Izmir.
