Profile and Settings

Where is your profile?

  • On the site: click your name in the top menu or go to /profil. Other people's profiles are at /profil/nick.
  • In WebChat: 👤 My profile in the top menu, the /profile command, or Full profile on the card that opens when you click a nick. The profile page opens in the centre without leaving chat.

What's on a profile?

  • Header — avatar, name, badges; post, follower, following, friend and badge counts.
  • Details — location, website, team, age, join date and any other fields you filled in (Discord, GitHub…).
  • All / Feed / Creations — your status updates, posts and what you made on Yudumca.
  • Side column — badges, score-predictor record, articles, groups, friends, people followed, people you may know, recent comments on your posts and membership details.

On someone else's profile there are follow, add friend (changes with the request state) and message buttons. You can ❤️ like their posts and use 💬 to write a comment in the box that opens under the post; existing comments show under the post. You cannot like your own posts.

Who sees what?

Visitors who are not signed in only see your avatar, name and badges. Your about text, age, groups, friends and posts are for members only. Your email and age also start hidden — nobody sees them until you turn them on (Settings › Privacy).

Editing your profile

Edit profile on your own profile opens the Profile section of settings. In WebChat the tabs on your profile page (My friends, Following, My groups, Account, Privacy, Notifications, Settings) open that section directly.

  • Avatar — upload a picture or pick a ready-made avatar.
  • Profile details — name, about, location, age, website, team, social accounts. A field you leave empty is cleared.

Everything you save applies immediately on the site and in chat — it is one account.

Email and password

  • To change your email enter the new address and your current password; a confirmation link is sent to the new address. Your email changes when you click it — until then the old address stays active. Once it changes, a notice goes to the old address too. Email cannot be left empty; password resets are sent there.
  • To change your password enter your current password and the new one.
  • Forgot password — sends a reset link to your registered email (in settings and on the sign-in screen).
