Social Feed: Posts, Status, Likes, Comments

What is the social feed?

The feed is where posts on Yudum flow: a photo, a thought, a link, a question. You see what your friends and the people you follow share, like it and comment on it. Your posts also stay on your profile.

• On the site: /akis. Tabs: Feed (everyone), Friends, Following.
• In WebChat: 🧵 Social Feed in the top menu or /feed. The scrolling strip at the very top shows the latest posts; click one to open it.

Posting

1. Write in the box at the top of the feed; add a picture or video with 📷 if you like.
2. Press Share. Your post appears in the feed and on your profile right away.

To post to a group, use the box on the group's page; the post goes to that group's feed and only members see it.

What is a status?

A status is a short post that disappears by itself after 24 hours: "watching the match", "on my way", "found a new song"… Your friends and followers see what you are up to right now. Your status updates also appear on your profile under Status updates.

• In WebChat, write one with + on the status strip; › shows them all.
• A status removes itself when it expires; you can delete it earlier.

Likes and comments

• ♥ toggles your like; press again to take it back. You cannot like your own post.
• 💬 opens the comments; write in the box below and send. You can add a picture to a comment.
• Likes and comments notify the owner (can be turned off under Settings › Notifications).
• Click a post's time/date for its own page: /gonderi/number.

Editing, deleting, reporting

Under your own post or comment there are ✏️ Edit and 🗑 Delete; editing has a time limit (60 minutes by default). For an inappropriate post use 🚩 Report: pick a reason and it goes to the moderators.

Strips in WebChat

You can remove the scrolling social strip and the status strip from your own screen: Settings › Showcase.
