I forgot my password — what now?

Go to /sifremi-unuttum and enter your e-mail address; we send you a reset link. If your account has no e-mail address on it, this will not work — which is why we suggest adding one in settings. With no e-mail, write to us through the contact page.

Someone took my nickname / my nickname changed

If you connected with a registered nickname but did not identify, the system warns you. To identify:

/ns IDENTIFY yourpassword

In WebChat this happens by itself if you type your password on the sign-in screen. If you never registered the nickname, nobody can reserve it for you — register it.

I cannot speak in a channel

There are two common reasons: the channel is +m (only op and voice may speak) or +R (registered users only). Make sure you registered your nickname and identified; if it continues, ask a channel operator. See Channel modes.

WebChat will not open, or it is stuck

• Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+F5).
• Try a different browser.
• If you use an ad blocker or a VPN, switch it off for a moment.

If your connection dropped, WebChat reconnects by itself — wait a few seconds.

The strips (status / scrolling) disappeared

Those are per-person: turn them on or off under Chat settings → Strips and radio. Turning one off removes it only from your own screen.

Why was I banned?

A ban comes either from a channel operator or from network staff. To find out why, and to appeal, use the contact page.

Someone is bothering me

Block them (right-click the nickname in chat → Block) and report them: the 🚩 Report link under a post or comment on the site, or the right-click menu in chat. Reports go to the moderators and are reviewed.

I want to delete my account

You can do it from the account deletion section at the bottom of the settings page. Deletion cannot be undone; your posts become anonymous.
