Yudum Chat › Rules & Policies
Rules, Terms & Privacy
The short, human-readable version of how Yudum works. The full Turkish documents (rules, terms, privacy) are the binding originals.
🤝 Community rules
- Be respectful. No insults, harassment, provocation or picking fights.
- No spam, flooding or advertising — in channels or private messages.
- Never share personal information (yours or anyone else's): phone numbers, addresses, private photos.
- No illegal content of any kind. This is enforced with zero tolerance across the whole network.
- The international rooms are #lobby and #radio — English is the common language there. Turkish rooms keep their own house rules.
- Staff decisions (channel operators and network staff) are final; if you disagree, appeal calmly in #yardim instead of arguing in the channel.
Breaking these rules can lead to warnings, being muted or kicked,
and for serious or repeated abuse a network-wide ban.
📄 Terms of use — the essentials
- Yudum is a free community service, online since 1998. No payment is ever required to chat.
- You are responsible for what you post and for keeping your account password safe.
- Accounts are personal; don't impersonate other people or staff.
- We may remove content or accounts that break the rules or the law.
- You can leave at any time and ask for your account to be deleted.
🔒 Privacy — what we actually store
- Account data: your nickname, e-mail address and the profile fields you choose to fill in.
- Technical data: IP addresses and connection logs, kept for security and abuse prevention.
- Cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, plus optional analytics/advertising cookies — the cookie banner lets you decline everything non-essential.
- Third parties: the site shows Google ads and uses basic traffic measurement; we never sell your data.
- To access or delete your data, use the contact form — deletion requests are honoured.
