Suphi Kaner was born in Istanbul on January 19, 1933. His father was รmer Efendi, a telegraph line sitter, and his mother was Nazime, a housewife. An only child, he grew up in a wooden house with a carpentry shop; Since she lost her father at a young age, her mother tried to earn a living by working in the laundry business.
During his childhood, he worked as a caramel seller, shoe repairer and painter; At the same time, he started selling peanuts and soda in cinemas in ลehzadebaลฤฑ.
Working in movie theaters led him to this field. When he showed the stories and poems he wrote to the editor-in-chief of a newspaper, he was told, "You can't make money from this, sell newspapers." He started selling newspapers for a while, but he returned to the cinema in a short time. Kaner, who appeared on stage at Eyรผpsultan Community Center in 1946 with short plays called "Sรผt Kardeลler" and "Mozambique", gained self-confidence with this experience and stepped into Yeลilรงam.
He worked unpaid behind the camera, learned the equipment, reviewed the scripts and met names such as Fikret Hakan and รztรผrk Serengil. Later, he founded the theater group "Sahne8" with Fikret Hakan and went on tours; During this period, he gained public appreciation and rose to the position of leading actor.
Kaner, who appeared in a total of 95 films between 1957 and 1963, started struggling with alcohol in 1963. His inconsistent behavior on the sets and his lack of participation in the work led to a complaint from producer Nevzat Pesen; The Producers Association also published a letter of recommendation not to give him a job in June 1963.
This boycott caused Kaner to become unemployed and drift into alcohol addiction; He no longer leaves his home or communicates with anyone.
In August 1963, two months after the boycott, when he was only 30 years old, he committed suicide by taking three "Nembutal" pills at his friend Afif Yesari's house. The birth of Aลkฤฑn Kaner, her twin children, in 1962 remained the only bright moment in her life.
