Göl Zamanı (2013)

In the story set in Türkiye in the 1930s, we witness the story of two close friends, Ahmet and Refik, who graduated from medical school. The two friends, who decide to travel around Anatolia after finishing school, go to a town in the Aegean and stay at the mansion of former Unionist Haşim Bey. This is how they met Haşim Bey's daughter Elif. Refik and Elif, who meet at the lakeside the same night, fall in love with each other, but Refik, who has ideals for the future, leaves Elif behind and goes to Europe. At the same time, Ahmet also fell in love with Elif, and even though he leaves the town, he cannot get Elif out of his mind. For this reason, he requests his appointment and moves to the town where Elif lives. Elif wants Refik to come back; Ahmet, on the other hand, expects Elif to reciprocate his love. Years pass and the time of reckoning comes for all three of them...
