Ramazan Güzeldir (2009)

This Ramadan, we are guests in a middle-class Istanbul neighborhood. We are the guests of a handful of people who are about to disappear and who hold tightly to all our values that make us who we are and connect us to each other. Those who open their doors to us are people who are aware that fasting is not just about being hungry, who realize that the pleasure of what is halal is enough, who view haram as unnecessary, and who experience what we experience every year in Ramadan. "Where are those old Ramadans?" These are the people who don't say. They still experience those old Ramadans.
