Alp Korkmaz

Alp Korkmaz is a Turkish actor, known for his role as Commissioner Ali Akdoğan in the detective series Arka Sokaklar, broadcast on Kanal D. He was a member of the cast for a long time since the first years of the series, and returned to the screen with the same character years later.

He was born on March 2, 1981 in Ankara. He received his primary and secondary education in Istanbul and finished high school in Çanakkale. He went to the United States for higher education; He studied radio and television at the University of South Florida. After graduation, he studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater in New York.

In 2010, he took a break from the series for a while due to his military service, then returned to his role.

The character appeared on the series for 15 seasons and 594 episodes until he was removed from the storyline in season 15.

In the 20th season of the series, which started on September 12, 2025, the character of Ali Akdoğan surprisingly rejoined the story and Korkmaz returned to his role.
