Bayhan

Bayhan Gürhan was born on March 14, 1980 in Adana. He was born as the second child of Selahattin and Kezban Gürhan couple. His father left the family and went to Germany when he was two years old; His mother and sister stayed in Adana. After his mother's suicide in 1984, Bayhan headed to Germany with his older sister.

While staying in an orphanage there, he received his first musical education and learned to play the flute in the church choir. He was also in a foster family for a short time.

After returning to Turkey, his father left him to his grandmother and Bayhan grew up in the Dağlıoğlu neighborhood of Adana. When she was 13, her older sister returned to Germany to get married; However, he died in a traffic accident right after his new marriage. This loss led Bayhan to go to Istanbul. Since his relatives did not accept him, he started living on the streets and during this period he acquired the habit of walking around with a knife.

He worked in various jobs at a young age; While he was working as a gas cylinder seller and street vendor, in 1998, when he was 18, he stabbed his uncle's son, Mehmet Ali Gürhan, to death. As a result of the incident, he was tried with a request for 24 years in prison, but according to the law on execution, he was sentenced to only two years in prison.

In 2000, he was fined for injuring a person with a knife in Hatay's Reyhanlı district. The cases filed in 2001 regarding the two crimes he committed in Istanbul and Alanya in 1997 were postponed within the scope of the Conditional Release and Postponement of Sentences Law.

After completing his compulsory military service on the Northern Iraq border, he was discharged in 2003 and worked as a cook in Antalya. In the same year, he participated in the Antalya eliminations of the Popstar Türkiye competition. He came to the fore in the competition with his unique speaking style and past criminal record; He came second by saying, "I have closed the past, I am on the right track now." In the following weeks, he came first with the votes of the public jury, but was eliminated in the 11th week and finished the competition in third place.

He released his first album called "I Can't Imagine" in 2004, but he did not sing the songs in the album on stage. He released the album "Kısa Veda" in 2008. He also acted; In 2012, he appeared as Ayhan in the TV series " Kendize Doğru" on Samanyolu TV, and as a guest actor in the TV series "Ankara'nın Dikmen" on Kanal D in 2014.

He also took on hosting and voice-over jobs in television and radio programs; In 2013, he hosted the documentary program "My Way".
