Süleyman Atanısev

Süleyman Atanısev was born on January 27, 1969 in Bursa. He started his artistic career when he was only ten years old, in 1979, by taking the Feraizci Mehmet Şakir Bey youth course at the Bursa State Theatre. During this period, he continued his course training and took part in various plays of Bursa State Theatre. He appeared on stage in many plays, especially children's theater, until 1990.

Later, he enrolled in Eskişehir Anadolu University State Conservatory Theater Department and graduated in 1994. In the same year after his graduation, he founded Eskişehir Theater Company with his classmates. In 1997, he passed the exam held by the General Directorate of State Theaters and was appointed to the Van State Theater as a trainee artist.

During the years he spent in Van, he took part in various plays and directed some of them. He also took part in the establishment of the Van Regional Theatre, the first private theater established in Van, and served as the general artistic director of this troupe. During this period, he also gave lectures in the field of theater. He served as the director of the Van State Theater twice, in 2004 and 2006.

He became one of the founding members of the Van Akdamar Children and Youth Theater Festival, the foundations of which were laid in 1998. In 2011, he was appointed to the Istanbul State Theater and continued his artistic life there. He took part in various plays in this institution, where he performed for many years. Its managers are Canda Karikutal, the founders of Mandalina Casting, and actress July Karikutal.

The artist was deemed worthy of many awards throughout his career. In 2013, he won the "Most Successful Supporting Actor of the Year" award at both the Afife Theater Awards and the "Most Successful Supporting Actor of the Year" award in the Comedy/Musical category at the Sadri Alışık Theater and Cinema Actor Awards. In 2011, he was awarded the "Best Actor of the Year" award at the Direklerini Seyirci Awards.
