PUBG MOBILE
PUBG MOBILE drops up to a hundred players onto an island to be the last one standing. Launched globally in March 2018, it is one of the best-known battle royale games on phones.
What is PUBG MOBILE?
PUBG MOBILE is the phone version of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, co-developed by Tencent Games' LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS and KRAFTON and published worldwide by Level Infinite. According to Level Infinite, it launched globally on 19 March 2018; the publisher's page (accessed September 2026) says it is available in more than 200 markets and has passed 1 billion downloads.
How to play
Players parachute onto a large map, scavenge for gear and vehicles, and stay inside a shrinking safe zone until one player or team remains. Solo, duo and squad play are supported, alongside arena, seasonal event modes and Metro Royale.
Platforms and business model
Available on Android and iOS. It is free to download and funded by in-app purchases and the seasonal Royale Pass; Google Play also notes ads. Google Play (Turkey) rates it PEGI 12; the App Store rates it 13+.
Turkish language and Turkey
The App Store lists Turkish among supported languages and the official site offers a Turkish version. We could not confirm Turkish voice-over or a dedicated Turkish publisher or server from official sources.
Why it became popular
It brought a PC hit to free phones at the height of the battle royale boom, turned squad play into a social hangout, and built a large mobile esports structure. Constant seasonal updates keep the game changing years after launch.
