Subway Surfers
In Subway Surfers you dash along train tracks as graffiti artist Jake, dodging the Inspector and his dog. A 2012 endless runner that visits a new city with each World Tour update.
What is Subway Surfers?
Subway Surfers is an endless runner published by Denmark's SYBO Games, originally co-developed with Kiloo. It launched on iOS in 2012; the Android listing, still under Kiloo's package name, dates to 20 September 2012. Jake and friends run from the grumpy Inspector and his dog.
How to play
Swipe to change lanes, jump and roll, collect coins and use hoverboards, jetpacks and super sneakers. Regular World Tour updates move the game to a new city; in September 2026 the App Store featured Buenos Aires, and the official site announces the new Subway Surfers City.
Platforms and business model
Available on Android and iOS, free with ads and in-app purchases including random items, and playable offline. Rated PEGI 7 on Google Play (Turkey) and 9+ on the App Store.
Turkish language and Turkey
The App Store lists Turkish and the Google Play Turkey description is in Turkish. With almost no dialogue, support is mainly menus and text. A Turkey-specific World Tour stop could not be confirmed.
Why it became popular
One-finger controls, short runs and bright cartoon style made it accessible to all ages, while World Tour kept it fresh. Its gameplay footage even became a familiar attention-holding backdrop in short social videos.
