Aksel Hennie

Aksel Hennie was born on October 29, 1975 in the Lambertseter district of Oslo. As one of the leading figures of Norwegian cinema, he attracted the attention of large audiences with his performances in films such as Uno (2004), MaxManus (2008), Hercules: Freedom Fighter (2014) and The Martian (2015).
Hennie, who was interested in street culture in his youth, dabbled in graffiti towards the end of his adolescence. He was confronted by the police for these activities and was ostracized from the graffiti community after his confession. The traces he left under the nicknames โCeelโ and โMikroโ can still be seen in various corners of Oslo; but following his confession, many of these signs were crossed out.
This personal experience was an important element that shaped the background of the Uno movie and was recorded as one of the first examples of similar cases in Norway.
Hennie, who also draws attention in his private life, married former squash player Karoline Hegbom on September 6, 2019. The actor's cousin Kalle Hennie is also in the same industry.
