Ali Kırca

Ali Kırca was born on December 26, 1948 in Akşehir and takes his ancestry from the Kırca village of Sultandağı. He moved to Istanbul in 1963 and graduated from the Naval Academy, and then continued his education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and Law for a while. Kırca, who became interested in media at the age of 17, started his career as a reporter at TRT in 1974.

Following a declaration he published while he was a naval lieutenant in 1969, his relations with the armed forces were cut off, and 83 soldiers, including names such as Kırca and Sarp Kuray, were tried in the martial law court on March 12; Death penalty was requested within the scope of the Solmazer case.

Kırca, who served in various positions at TRT and rose to the position of Head of News Department, prepared programs such as "From Homeland-World", "32. Day" and "Open Session" and strengthened his career with interviews of leading politicians. He traveled to Washington in 1991, and after retiring from TRT in 1992, he presented the "40th Parallel" program on Interstar in the USA in 1992-93.

After returning to Turkey, he was appointed as the Head of News Department of ATV, and started to present the ATV Main News Bulletin on January 31, 1994, and the program "Politics Square", coordinated by Feyzi Öktem, on February 6, 1994. While leaving ATV in 2001 and moving to Star TV, in the same year, after leaving Star TV, she sang the song "Güle Güle Son" in Sony Music Turkey's "Yüreğimdeki Barış Şarkıları" album; He joined NTV in 2002 and released an album called "Habersiz Türküller".

He returned to ATV the same year, worked as a columnist in Sabah Newspaper and wrote TV shows such as "Altanlar Meydanda", "Football is Life", "Love in the Season of Hazan", "The Scent of the Cedar Tree", "Now We Give the Good News", "Susurluk Wheel", "Longing for Barış Manço", "700". He published eight books, such as "Ottoman in 1999".

While teaching TV journalism at Anadolu University for two years, he also worked as a lecturer at Bahçeşehir University and won many international awards, including the "Golden Rose" with his programs. He left ATV on December 31, 2007 and joined Show TV with his team, presenting news until June 16, 2013; On March 5, 2014, he served as media communications director at Galatasaray TV and then retired, ending his media career. In his personal life, he has two sons named Candaş and Ozan.
