Antalyaspor is a sports club that represents Antalya in professional leagues. The men's football team was founded on July 2, 1966 and entered the leagues on November 11 of the same year. The club's colors are red and white and it is nicknamed "Scorpion".
Its organizational structure consists of three separate identities: Antalyaspor A.ล. While it only manages football activities, Antalyaspor Club is active in many branches such as athletics, cycling, boxing, ice hockey, gymnastics, e-sports, judo, kick boxing, table tennis, archery, water polo, taekwondo, triathlon, volleyball and swimming. Antalyaspor Foundation provides support with social responsibility projects.
The coat of arms features a red circle on a white background; In the middle of the circle is the Yivli Minaret and below it is an inscription indicating the year "1966". The red letters "A" and "S", located on both sides of the circle, parallel to the edge of the circle, are the abbreviations of the words Antalya and Sport.
Between 2010 and 2014, in accordance with the sponsorship agreement, the "Medical Park" logo was added to the upper part of the circle and the "Antalyaspor" text was added to the lower part, but these additions were later removed.
The history of Antalyaspor begins in 1965, after the National League was established in 1959, with the instruction of the Turkish Football Federation to find a team from each province. On June 5, 1966, the managers of Yenikapฤฑ Suspor, ฤฐlk Iลฤฑk and Ferrokromspor clubs came together and founded Antalyaspor, with Atilla Konuk serving as its president.
The club received its official registration on July 2, 1966 and participated in the Turkish Professional 2nd League in the 1966-67 season. A new name change took place with the merger of รimturspor with the club on December 9, 1992.
