Buket Bengisu

Buket Bengisu is the singer who represented Türkiye in the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest. He works in the fields of pop and jazz; He has a conservatory-based music education.

He was born on July 19, 1978 in Istanbul. He grew up in a family where his father played the bass guitar and his uncle played the piano. After completing her primary and secondary education in Istanbul, she entered the opera department of Istanbul University State Conservatory in 1996 and graduated from the choir singing department.

He started the musical theater program of the same school in 2000 and graduated from this department in 2003. During his education years, he performed in children's plays at the Turkish Children's Theater for five years.

Eurovision

In 2002, he won the national audition organized by TRT with the song Leylaklar Soldu Kalpinde, which he sang with Grup Safir. Bengisu and Grup Safir, who performed in the competition held in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, in the same year, ranked 16th with 29 points.

After the competition, Bengisu continued her stage work in pop and jazz.
