Cem Uslu was born on May 22, 1983 and is a theater artist from Istanbul. He first appeared on stage in 2002 in Uludaฤ University's theater group, Uludaฤ University Players, and between 2001 and 2006, he took on many roles both on stage and behind the scenes in this group. He worked at Bursa State Theater in the 2005-2006 season and Theater Oyunbaz in 2008-2011; Since 2010, he has continued to produce and stage plays at EKฤฐP Theatre, of which he is a founding member.
He completed his education at Uludaฤ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations in 2006, and Haliรง University Conservatory, Department of Theater in 2011, and worked as a lecturer in the same department in the 2015-2016 academic year. Uslu, who works actively in fields such as acting, theater directing, playwriting and voice-over, also plays an important role in supporting and educating young talents.
The awards he has received are proof of his success on stage. In 2010, he received the Kerem Yฤฑlmazer Young Talent Actor Award at the X. Lions Theater Awards for his lead performance in the play "Peer Gynt", while in the same year, he won the Best Actor award at the ฤฐBB Kรผltรผr Aล GSM 8th Amateur Theater Festival with his character Hamm in the play " Oyun Sonu".
In 2012, he won the Marta Award in the Festival Director category at the international theater festival in Brno, and in 2013, he received the Most Successful Young Generation Artist of the Year at the Afife Theater Awards and the Young Actor Special Jury Award at the Sadri Alฤฑลฤฑk Awards for "Where Were We?" He received it for his role as Umut in the play.
In recent years, he has once again demonstrated his competence in both playwriting and directing by collecting prestigious recognitions such as the Maltepe International Theater Festival Emek Award, the Selection Committee Special Award at the รstรผn Akmen Theater Awards and the Most Successful Playwright of the Year at the Tรผrkan Kahramankaptan Special Awards in 2017 and 2018.
Uslu, who has also made a name for himself with many nominations, is known as both a creative and educational figure in the theater world.
