The club plays its home matches at Waldstadion, which has a capacity of 60,100 spectators. This stadium changed its name to Commerzbank-Arena with the sponsorship agreement. Eintracht Frankfurt, one of the most important clubs in German football, is also a founding member of the German Football League Bundesliga. The team, which became the league champion in 1959 and lost the championship to Stuttgart in the last week of the 1991-92 season, started to lose its strength after that and was relegated to the 2nd League in the 1995-96, 2000-01, 2003-04 and 2010-11 seasons.
Frankfurt, which was later promoted to the Bundesliga again, lost the cup to Dortmund in the German Cup final in 2017, and met the cup years later by beating Bayern in the final in 2018. In the 2018-19 season, they reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League and were eliminated by Chelsea in a penalty shoot-out in the semi-finals.
It became the UEFA Europa League champion after 42 years in the 2021-2022 season. Thanks to this success, it became eligible to compete in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in its history.
Good luck
