Feridun Şavlı was born in Burdur on 6 August 1953 and died in Istanbul on 19 April 1995. He completed his education from Istanbul Technical Textile High School. The turning point of his cinema career was the role of Domdom Ali in the series "HababıM Class"; With this character, he became one of the unforgettable names in TV series and movies.

Şavlı's cinematic journey began in 1975 with productions such as "Oh Where", "There's a Festival in the Classroom", "HababıM Class" and "HababıM Class Failed in the Class". Then, he appeared in the films "HababıM Class is Waking Up" in 1976, "HababıM Class is on Holiday" in 1977, and "HababıM Class is Giving Birth to Nine", "Neşeli Günler" and "The Man with Number One Hundred" in 1978. His last film work was "Umut Taxi" in 1993.

During his career, he lost his left arm as a result of a traffic accident, and then died of a heart attack a few years later. His grave is located in Alaşehir district of Manisa. Feridun's brother Faruk Şavlı also starred in the same "HababıM Class" series and died due to brain hemorrhage in 2019.

Feridun Şavlı was born on 6 August 1953 in Burdur. He is one of the unforgettable and cheerful actors of Yeşilçam, who is known for the character "Domdom Ali" he played in the cult film series of Turkish cinema, "Hababam Class" and won the love of millions with this role.

His step into the cinema, albeit by chance, was through Cem Gürdap (Tulum Hayri), who, like him, would become one of the unforgettable characters of "Hababam Class". One day, upon Gürdap's insistence, Şavlı knocked on the door of Arzu Film and met the legendary director Ertem Eğilmez, who was making preparations for the movie "Hababam Class" at that time. Eğilmez was impressed by Şavlı's cute and sympathetic appearance and offered her a role in the movie.

This offer changed Feridun Şavlı's life. The character of "Domdom Ali", one of the most voracious and lovable students of the class, played in the movie "Hababam Class" (1975), adapted from Rıfat Ilgaz's immortal work, was the peak of his career. Domdom Ali, with his humorous and naive attitude, who usually runs after food with his best friend "Tulum Hayri", has become one of the most memorable and beloved characters of the series.

Şavlı almost integrated with this role by successfully portraying the same character in the sequels of the series, "Hababam Class Failed", "Hababam Class is Awakening" and "Hababam Class is on Holiday".

In addition to the "Hababam Class" series, he also played small roles in classic comedy films such as "Süt Kardeşler" and "Şaban Oğul Şaban", also directed by Ertem Eğilmez, and was included in those legendary staff of Yeşilçam. However, his cinema career was generally limited to these films, and after the great fame brought by "Hababam Class", he could not achieve the continuation he expected in the world of cinema.
