Hazal, real name Özlem Yerşen, was born on July 27, 1973 in Istanbul and started her music career in this city.
He completed his primary and secondary education, then high school and conservatory education in Istanbul. During her youth, she took part in the fields as a licensed volleyball player for 12 years. In 1994, he officially stepped into music education by passing the exams of the Classical Turkish Music department of Müjdat Gezen Art Center; He became a student of well-known masters such as MelahatPars, Cinuçen Tanrıkorur, SüheylaAltmışırtı and SadunAksüt.
Later, he successfully passed the exams of ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory and continued his education there. He started performing with his friends who performed together during the conservatory, and in the fourth month he received his first album offer; After this opportunity, he left school for a while.
On 15 December 1995, he released the album Sevdalım, arranged by BülentÖzdemir, under the Klip Music label. He worked with names such as SedaAkay, YıldızTilbe, ErcanSaatçi, BoraÖztoprak, ToygarIşıklı, KerimeAbidik and ÖmerTeoman on the album. She was nominated for "Best Breakthrough Female Singer" at the 1995 Kral TV Video Music Awards.
A music video was shot for the songs Sevdalım, EldenYarOlmaz and BoziyorumYeminimi and then gave numerous concerts at home and abroad.
On November 22, 1997, he released the album AşkaDair with the arrangement of SelimÇaldıran, again under the Klip Music label. Artists such as SerdarOrtaç, NiranÜnsal, GünayÇoban, FeyyazKuruş, ZeynepTalu, HakanMaktav, NurhatŞensesli and MustafaHoşgören took part in the album; A video clip was shot for the songs OsmanAbim, ÖlümGelir and YalancıSevda.
On January 4, 2000, he announced the album SürgünAşkimiz with the TMC label, arranged by ErhanBayrak. In 2001, thanks to the student amnesty, he decided to complete his conservatory education, which he left unfinished, and returned to his student life at ITU. During this period, he continued his stage work, but took a long break without releasing a new album.
Hazal, who started preparations for a new album in 2008, also took on the responsibility of production. On April 27, 2009, he released the album GeriyeDönme under the label YaşarKekeva Plakçılık; Among the arrangers were SelimÇaldıran, DostBilenKırım and MustafaYenerkol. In the album, the lyrics of five songs and the compositions of two songs belong to Hazal, and the compositions of four songs and one lyric belong to DostBilenKırım. The only video clip was shot for the song Görmesemssem, directed by BurakErtaş.
On April 14, 2014, he released the album AşktanBıçak, arranged by AliCem Çehreli, under the label FonoMüzik. This last album included works by artists such as DostBilenKırım, GünayÇoban, KerimeAbidik, AlperÇam, BurçakDurak and TasosPanagiz.
