İpek Türktan

İpek Türktan was born in Mersin in 1981 and in 2005 completed the Drama and Acting programme at Bilkent University’s Faculty of Music and Performing Arts.

Her acting journey began in 2005 when she took the stage in the play “Bütün Kadınların Kafası Karışıktır”; she went on to appear in a range of plays including “Hırçın Kız” (2006), “Martı” (2007), “Alışveriş ve S***ş” (2009), “Pippa” (2012), “Bir Halk Düşmanı” (2014), “Yılın En İyi Kadın Oyuncusu” (2015), “Balat Monologlar Müzesi” (2016), “Topuklu Terlik Süt Yapar” (2017), “Daha İyi Günlerimiz Olmuştu” (2019), “Bir Terennüm” (2023), “Öteki Venedik Taciri” (2024) and “Süheyla Hanım” (2025).

In film, she appeared in “Kusursuzlar” (2013), “Bulantı” (2015), “Tereddüt” and the short film “Yeryüzündesin. Her awards reflect this busy body of work: in 2014 she was named Best Actress at the 19th Sadri Alışık Theatre and Cinema Acting Awards for her role in “Kusursuzlar”; in 2021 she won the same award at the 32nd Ankara International Film Festival for “Anadolu Leoparı”; and in 2024 she was honoured as Best Actress at the 24th Direklerarası Audience Awards for the play “Bir Terennüm”.
