Leeds United F.C.

Leeds United Football Club, or simply Leeds United, is a football club founded in Leeds, England, in 1919. It plays its home matches at Elland Road, which has a capacity of 37,890 spectators. Leeds United are known by the nickname "the whites" and wear yellow-dark blue colors.

The team, which reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2001, continued its success in Europe for a few years, but had to sell its players due to economic difficulties. Leeds United, which was relegated from the Premier League to the EFL Championship in the 2003-04 season, continued its struggle in this league.

In the 2005-06 season, he lost 3-0 to Watford in the threshold match final, which he played to be promoted to the Premier League. The club experienced financial difficulties the next season, so it started the league with -10 points and finished last in the 24-team Championship with 36 points and was relegated to League One, the 3rd tier of the English League, for the first time in its history.

In the 2009-10 season, they finished League One in 2nd place and were promoted to the Championship. Having competed in the Championship for 10 seasons, Leeds United was promoted to the Premier League after 16 seasons, on the 101st anniversary of the club's founding.
