Levent รakฤฑr, one of the colorful figures of Turkish cinema, real name ลรผkrรผ Ocak, was born on March 1, 1950 in Edirne. Having lost his father in a military exercise when he was only three years old, รakฤฑr's life turned towards cinema with a decision he made at a young age. The artist, who dropped out of school and joined a circus company and improved his acrobatic skills, opened the doors of Yeลilรงam when he attracted the attention of Nejat Okรงugil.
รakฤฑr, who started his acting career with the 1966 movie "Bana Bela Derler", worked as a stuntman for important names such as Fikret Hakan, Yฤฑlmaz Gรผndรผz and Fatma Girik in the following years.
Taking on the leading role in the movie "Zagor" upon Niลan Hanรงeryan's offer was an important turning point in Levent รakฤฑr's career. This role also meant that the Zagor comic book was adapted to the cinema for the first time, and รakฤฑr was remembered with this performance. รakฤฑr, who starred in more than 100 films, became known especially for his performances in fantasy productions.
The artist, who completed his military service in Cyprus for two years, was not involved in the "sex craze" movement in Yeลilรงam. In the 2000s, he appeared before the audience mostly in religious-themed TV series and movies.
One of the unforgettable memories of his art life occurred in 2010, when Zagor's creator Gallieno Ferri personally visited the artist's house. Ferri said to รakฤฑr, "You crazy man, I've been waiting to meet you for 30 years, what a role you played!" He honored me with his words. Levent รakฤฑr ended his career by retiring from Edirne Governorship art consultancy in 2015.
