Partnership with Wayans

His feature-length directorial debut was A Haunted House, released in 2013. The production, which was a mockery of "found footage" horror films written by Marlon Wayans and Rick Alvarez, achieved commercial success despite its low budget and continued with A Haunted House 2 in 2014.

The duo also worked together in the following years. Tiddes directed the Fifty Shades of Black parody Fifty Shades of Black in 2016, the Netflix film Naked in 2017, and Sextuplets in 2019, in which Wayans took on multiple roles. In 2024, he shot Half Baked's sequel, Half Baked: Totally High. The new movie Scary Movie, which will be released in 2026, was also produced under his direction and with the script of the Wayans brothers.

Tiddes has also worked in television, directing episodes on In the Flow with Affion Crockett and The Burn with Jeff Ross; In 2025, he took on the role of producer as well as director on Laugh It Forward.

His career stands out as the product of a long-term creative partnership built largely on parody and sketch comedy.
