Nisa Serezli, one of the unforgettable names of Turkish theatre, was an artist who was born in Istanbul on April 12, 1928, and died in the same city on August 25, 1992. Serezli, whose birth name is Nurinisa Ersan, graduated from Erenköy Girls' High School and continued her academic life at the University of Lausanne, Faculty of Architecture, Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of French Philology and Economics, Institute of Journalism.
Serezli, who was first introduced to the stage in 1954 with the play "On Little Naughty" by the Youth Theater, also took part in companies such as Dormen Theater and Oda Theatre. Later, he founded "Ayfer Feray - Nisa Serezli Community and Çevre Theater" jointly with Ayfer Feray. The artist, who married Metin Serezli in 1957, united her life with Tolga Aşkıner after this marriage and created "Nisa Serezli - Tolga Aşkıner Theatre"; With Aşkıner's death, this community also disintegrated.
In her private life, Nisa Serezli had a son named Levent, her son is with Bülent Veziroğlu from her first husband. The artist, who played important roles in the field of cinema and theater, played in many films such as "For a Beautiful Day", "Broken Order", "Yesterday's Child", "Iron Door", "Shame Doors", "Wild Gülü", "Köçek", "Where Did This Brat Come From", "Caniko", "Tatlı Kaçık", "Tired Warrior", "Kupa Kız" and "Eda Hanım". He also translated theater works into Turkish and dubbed films.
Serezli, who was deemed worthy of many awards throughout her career, won the İlhan İskender Theater Award for Best Actress in 1964 and 1966 with her plays "Şahane Zuğurtler" and "Tatlı Kaçık". In 1978, he was deemed worthy of the same award by the Art Lovers Association with his performance "Nalınlar". After her death, she continues to be remembered with the "Nisa Serezli Aşkıner Award", which is given to artists within the scope of the Afife Theater Awards. Nisa Serezli was buried in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
