Özgün Aydın, one of the well-known figures of the Turkish theater and TV series world, opened his eyes to life in Ankara on September 6, 1984. Aydın continued his education at various schools in Ankara and after completing his high school education, he entered the Theater Department of Ankara University Faculty of Languages, History and Geography.
While continuing his education at the faculty, he also proved his talent in this field by participating in the department's acting auditions.
Özgün Aydın, who started to swallow the dust of the set during his university years, took his first steps into acting by taking part in several different TV series during his student period. One of his early works was his role as an extra in the TRT film 'Abdülhamit Düşerken'. Aydın, whose stage work continues without slowing down, met with the audience in plays such as 'Çıkışyokland Republic' within the Öteki Theater and 'Bir Encounter Bir Nedir' with the Theater Oyunbaz Group.
Özgün Aydın, who started his professional theater career at Duru Theatre, later took the stage at Levent Kırca Theatre. Aydın, who attracted attention with his successful performance in the play 'Selamün Kavlen Karakolu', played this role in the XIII. He was awarded the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Direklerini Seyirci Awards.
Today, Özgün Aydın, who is widely known for his character Mustafa in the popular comedy program 'Güldür Güldür', has also been an active member of the staff of Ankara Art Theater since the 2012-2013 season.

For his performance in the play 'Selamün Kavlen Karakolu', he won the 13th Direklerini Seyirci Awards and the 2012-2013 season Best Supporting Actor Award. The actor, who plays the character of Mustafa in the comedy program Güldür Güldür, has also been in the cast of Ankara Art Theater since the 2012-2013 season.
In 2019, the court requested a prison sentence of up to 5 years for Aydın for resisting and attacking the police.
