PAOK FC, full name ฮ ฮฑฮฝฮธฮตฯฯฮฑฮปฮฟฮฝฮฏฮบฮตฮนฮฟฯ ฮฮธฮปฮทฯฮนฮบฯฯ ฮฮผฮนฮปฮฟฯ ฮฯฮฝฯฯฮฑฮฝฯฮนฮฝฮฟฯ ฯฮฟฮปฮนฯฯฮฝ (Turkish: โPan-Thessalonian Sports Club of Constantinopleโ) is a football team operating in Thessaloniki, Greece. Known for its black and white colors, the club plays its matches at Toumba Stadium, which has a capacity of 29,800 spectators, and currently competes in Alpha Ethniki (Super League 1).
The origins of the team date back to 1875, when a community was founded under the name "Hermes" in the Pera district of Istanbul. Following the Greco-Turkish War, PAOK, like clubs such as AEK and Panionios, migrated to Thessaloniki and was reborn in this city in 1926.
PAOK is a club that has been crowned champions four times in the league's history; These victories were achieved in 1976, 1985, 2019 and 2024. He has also finished second ten times (1937, 1940, 1973, 1978, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022) and won the Greek Cup eight times (1972, 1974, 2001, 2003, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021).
The team competed in the cup final 14 times and reached the final in 1939, 1951, 1955, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1977, 1978, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1992, 2014 and 2022. The youth team won the championship twice at the U-20 level (2002-03, 2006-07) and reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in the 1973-74 season in the European arena.
PAOK, which reached the championship without any defeat in the league in the 2019 season, repeated this success in 2024 and engraved its name in Turkish-Greek football history.
