Royal Standard de Liège, commonly known as Standard Liège, is a Belgian football club. It was founded in Liège. Standard Liège is one of the most successful clubs in Belgium. They have 10 Belgian league championships. The most recent of these are the league victories in the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. The club also has 6 Beker van België. They played in the final of the 1982 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, but lost to the Barcelona team.

Standard Liége players are called "Rouches" because of their red jerseys. “rouge” means red in French. This word is read as “rouche” with the Walloon accent.
