Serhat Nalbantoğlu

Serhat Nalbantoğlu was born on March 7, 1959 in Eskişehir. He appears as a name that has left a mark in the Turkish theater and cinema world for many years. Nalbantoğlu, who graduated from Ankara State Conservatory Theater Department, started his professional life directly as an artist at Ankara State Theatre.

After taking part in many plays in his first years in Ankara, he was appointed here with the establishment of Trabzon State Theater in 1987. During his tenure in Trabzon, which lasted about two years, he was appointed director of the theater in 1989 and continued this duty until 1991. The experienced artist later returned to Ankara State Theater and continued both his acting and directing work successfully.

The plays he directed on various stages, especially at the Ankara State Theatre, attracted great attention.

In the 2006-2007 season, Nalbantoğlu left his job at the State Theaters, where he had served for many years, and settled in Istanbul, where he founded Tiyatro Seyirlik with his colleague Hüseyin Avni Danyal from Ankara State Theatre. However, the artist left this theater after a while and then returned to Ankara State Theater as director. In addition to acting, he also took part in many projects in television and cinema.

Serhat Nalbantoğlu, who has been deemed worthy of many awards throughout his long career, was awarded the "best actor" award by the Ankara Art Institution in 1991 for his performance in the play "Tamirci", and in 1994 he was deemed worthy once again in the same category for his work in the production "Good". In the 2007-2008 season, he won the "best director" award for his directorial work on the play "One Man City".
