Founded in Trabzon on August 2, 1967, Trabzonspor is a sports club that stands out with its success on the football field. Trabzonspor, which has a total of eight league championships in football, has seven championships for the men's team and one for the women's team. While the men's football team made history by becoming the first team from outside Istanbul to win the championship, the star on the crest symbolizes one of the four clubs that became league champions five times.
After taking a break in 2011, the women's football team returned to the Women's Super League in the 2021-2022 season and became the first club to win the championship in this field.

The team, which was closed in 2019, joined the Men's Regional Basketball League in 2024 after an infrastructure-oriented restructuring, won the championship in its first season and was promoted to the Super League with the invitation of the Turkish Basketball Federation; It gained the right to participate in the Super League as the league champion in the 2025-2026 season.
Although the handball plan was canceled in 1984, in 2010 the 24 February Handball Team joined the club and took part in the Turkish Men's Handball Super League, but this branch was closed in 2016. Founded in 2013, the men's volleyball team was promoted to the 2nd League in the 2014-2015 season after winning first place in the 3rd League Group B, but ended its activities in 2016.
Other non-football disciplines include teams for shooting, athletics, boxing, judo, table tennis and modern pentathlon. The club, which is also active in e-sports, has proven its success in this field by reaching the championship in the e-sports football league in the 2023-2024 season.
