TรผrkMedya, sometimes referred to as Esmedya, is a media group founded in Turkey in 2014 by Ethem Sancak. The group used the name Esmedya in 2016-2017 and continued its activities under the name TรผrkMedya from 2017. Zeki Yeลildaฤ is the head of the board of directors, and Ahmet Bayraktutar is the head of the executive board.
The establishment process started with the transfer of 24 television channels and Star newspaper, which were confiscated by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) in 2008, to Ethem Sancak. During this period, the group was also known as Sancak Media Group because it was the owner of Star Media Group. In the same year, Sancak launched the Ep TV channel; However, a year later, he sold all his media assets to Tevhit Karakaya and closed the Sancak Media Group.
As a result of a series of negotiations following the seizure of some of รukurova Holding's media organs by SDIF, 360 television, Akลam and Gรผneล newspapers, Alem FM, Lig Radyo and all magazines belonging to รukurova were transferred to Sancak's group and TรผrkMedya took shape. On December 30, 2019, the print editions of Star and Gรผneล newspapers were stopped; Gรผneล started broadcasting as a supplement to Akลam, and Star started broadcasting only over the internet.
TรผrkMedya's current broadcast platforms include 24, tv4 and 360 television channels. Radios include Alem FM, Lig Radio and 24 Radios added in 2023. While the newspaper portfolio includes Star, Akลam, Gรผneล and Tercรผman, which joined in 2024, the magazine portfolio includes Alem and Platin since 2013, and SAVTEK in 2024.
