โWoman of 9.9 Billionโ (Korean: 99์ต์ ์ฌ์) is a South Korean TV series that aired on KBS2 in 2019โ2020. The series met with its viewers every Wednesday and Thursday at 22:00 (KST) from December 4, 2019 to January 23, 2020, starring Cho Yeoโjeong, Kim Kangโwoo, Jung Woongโin, Oh Naโra and Lee Jiโhoon.
The story revolves around a woman named Jung Seoโyeon (Cho Yeoโjeong), who realizes that she accidentally found a coin worth 9.9 billion won. Seeking a more stable happiness by escaping from the home where his father was violent, Jung marries Hong In-pyo (Jung Woong-in) and one day, when he feels like he is buried under everything, he dreams of stealing this large sum.
In this process, the 9.9 billion won behind the death of his brother Kang Tae-woo (Kim Kang-woo) becomes a secret, and our character is dragged into both an internal and external conflict under the influence of this money.
While Shin Hye-ji portrays Jung Seo-yeon's youth, she provides traces of her character's past. Kang Taeโwoo appears as a former detective at the Gangdong Police Station; He was bribed and fired during a drug investigation and is now trying to adapt to a new life under the protection of Oh Dae-yong. Hong Inโpyo is a man who works in the food supply business; He violently expresses his stress in work and home life to his wife, and one day Jung Seo-yeon's change leads him to follow her, so he decides to steal the money.
Jung's close friend Yoon Heeโjoo (Oh Naโra) is portrayed as a wealthy and confident woman; She serves on the board of directors of a private school foundation she inherited from her father, and although her husband Lee Jae-hoon (Lee Ji-hoon) appears to be a devoted wife on the outside, he adds complexity to the story with his secret relationships and games.
