Yüksel Gözen is a Turkish cinema and theater artist who was born on April 5, 1938 in Istanbul and died in the same city on May 1, 1991. Gözen, who started his acting career at the Haldun Dormen Theater in 1972, met with the audience in different stage venues over the years and took part in the TV series "Three Istanbuls" broadcast on TRT 1 in 1983.
In 1985, he reinforced his success in the theater world by winning the Avni Dilligil Award in the "Best Supporting Actor" category with his supporting role in the play "Yalnızlar Park".
In his cinema career, he left his mark on the colorful period of Yeşilçam and starred in 216 films in total. Gözen, who is especially remembered for the characters he played in Kemal Sunal's comedy films, took on unforgettable roles such as a pervert boss in the movie "Sekreter", a victimized grocer in "Garip" and a man disguised as a gossiping woman in "Atla Gel Şaban". In 1981, he appeared in front of the audience with Nejat Uygur in the Minti chewing gum commercial.
Gözen, who struggled with health problems, was unable to work due to diabetes. He was found dead in a hotel room in Yeşilçam in 1991, shortly after completing the shooting of the movie "Ölürayak", which he shot with Haluk Bilginer.
