Toprağın Çocukları (2012)

Karika, who ran away to save her life when the gypsy camp she lived in was attacked, was rescued by Cevher, who was studying at the village institute in the same area. Having received the support of İsmail Hakkı, Cevher provides shelter for the orphaned girl by placing her in the institute. However, the village people do not like this and the institute is pressured to expel the gypsy. Regional commander Necip, who has always been disturbed by the existence of the institute, carries out a raid and takes the director Kemal Teacher into custody. These incidents and the detention process coincide with the closure of village institutes that existed throughout the country. Teacher Kemal's innocence is eventually proven, but the evil fate of the village institutes does not change.
