The villagers
Who lives on the square, in the coffeehouse, at the cinema and in the valley; what each one tells and opens.
The villagers of the Highland are talking characters: click one and they either open a window or talk with you. Your answers are remembered; some options only appear after you have heard something from someone else. Talking to a few villagers can be one of the day's tasks.

Dede Korkut ยท square, by the hearth
Bard of the tribes and guide of the Highland. He tells you about the Highland, sings one of the five tales on his kopuz, opens his book and shows you what you can do; he can also replay the welcome cards.

He speaks little and plays the kaval. He tells how the Cyclops was born and about the fairy mother's ring; the first part of the Cyclops tale is his.

Elder of the Oghuz camp. He raised the Cyclops; he tells how the giant came to plague the camp, the tribute, and who Basat is.

The hero raised among lions. He tells you how the Cyclops is beaten and asks a riddle; answer it and he asks you to stand beside him in the raid.

A shaman with a drum. She guards the cave gate and tells Shahmaran's secret only to those who can keep it. She explains that the Shaman path will open with Shahmaran's epic.

Other residents on the square
You will also see other residents strolling the square and joining the chat. You can talk and exchange greetings with them too. They don't take part in raids and aren't written in the book; they are the everyday life of the Highland.
