How to check which mobile lines are registered in your name in Türkiye

See every GSM line registered to your Turkish ID number through the e-Devlet Mobile Line Inquiry service; if an unfamiliar number appears, apply to the operator the line belongs to for cancellation, and escalate to BTK if nothing changes.

How to check which mobile lines are registered in your name in Türkiye

A subscription opened without your knowledge usually surfaces months later, as a debt notice or an unexpected letter. The Mobile Line Inquiry service that the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) offers on the e-Devlet gateway lists every active mobile line registered to your Turkish ID number in one place, and citizens with no mobile subscription at all can also use it to check whether a line was opened in their name.

This guide shows how to reach the service, how to read the list, which channel to use when you apply to the operator a line belongs to, and how to use BTK's consumer complaint channel if the operator does not resolve the matter.

🧰 What you need

  • Turkish ID (T.C. kimlik) number
  • One e-Devlet sign-in method: e-Devlet password, mobile signature, electronic signature, Turkish ID card or internet banking
  • A phone or computer with an internet connection
  • A list of the numbers you actually use, for comparison
  • Any old subscription papers, invoices or notice letters you may have

Steps

  1. Prepare your sign-in method The inquiry only opens after identity verification. For this service the e-Devlet gateway accepts an e-Devlet password, mobile signature, electronic signature, Turkish ID card or internet banking. Have whichever you own ready; if you have no e-Devlet password, collect the password envelope from a PTT branch first.
  2. Open the Mobile Line Inquiry service Go to turkiye.gov.tr and type "Mobil Hat Sorgulama" in the search box. The service is provided by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority; you can also go straight to turkiye.gov.tr/mobil-hat-sorgulama. If you have not signed in yet, the page shows a "Kimliğimi Şimdi Doğrula" (Verify my identity now) button, so continue from there.
  3. Compare the listed lines one by one The service lists the active mobile lines registered in your name with the number and the operator the line belongs to. Tick off the numbers you use and write the unfamiliar ones on a separate sheet. An old workplace line, a number you bought for your child, or a subscription you believed was closed years ago can all show up here.
  4. Keep a record of the screen If an unfamiliar number appears, take a screenshot or save the page as PDF before closing it. Make sure the date is visible. This record documents the day the line appeared in your name, which helps at the application and complaint stages.
  5. Apply in writing to the operator the line belongs to The application goes to the operator shown next to the line. According to BTK's consumer guidance, a subscription contract can be terminated at any time by written notice to the operator, by a signed fax sent to the operator's fax number provided it is confirmed, or through texts sent and storable with a secure electronic signature. State clearly that you do not use the line and that the subscription was opened without your knowledge, and attach the inquiry screenshot.
  6. Track the 24-hour and 7-day periods The operator confirms the termination request within 24 hours and completes the process within 7 days at the latest; charging stops within 24 hours of the notice. Keep the reference number you are given and note these periods in your calendar. When the time is up, run Mobile Line Inquiry again and confirm with your own eyes that the line has dropped off the list.
  7. Escalate to BTK if nothing happens If the operator does not resolve your application, use the "Tüketici Şikayet Bildirim Sistemi" (Consumer Complaint Notification System) service on e-Devlet or go to tuketicisikayet.btk.gov.tr. Choose the category, the operator and the complaint subject, describe events in date order, upload your documents and create the record. Your complaint is registered electronically and forwarded to the operator that served you.
  8. File a second complaint on the same subject if needed Under BTK's procedures and principles, a consumer complaint should in principle be resolved within ten business days of the application at the latest. If the operator fails to do so, record the same subject a second time: second and subsequent complaints made through the system are forwarded by the operator to the Authority together with their responses. You can follow the stage your application has reached by signing in to the complaint system.
  9. Make the inquiry a habit and note the information line Repeat the line inquiry once or twice a year; a new record spotted early is far easier to close. For information and notifications, BTK's Information and Notification Centre can be reached on 120. Never leave a copy of your ID with anyone other than an authorised dealer, and do not respond to requests for documents or codes that arrive by message.
