How to request a song on YudumFM

YudumFM is a radio station that runs hand in hand with the chat. While you listen you can send a request from the channel, ask what song is playing and join the conversation that goes along with the broadcast. Because the request system runs through a bot, writing a single line is enough.

Most requests are found on the first try. Almost all of the cases where one isn't found come down to spelling: the song title is written one way in the archive and another way by you.

Improving the chances of a match

Write the artist first, then the song title. With long titles, picking the distinctive part gives better results than trying to write the full name. If you leave out the additions in parentheses (remix, acoustic, live), the search casts a wider net.

1. Join the radio channel Requests are made from the channel the radio is connected to. Make sure you are in the channel where you listen to the broadcast.
2. Type the request command Type this on the chat line: !istek song title — for example: !istek Sezen Aksu Firuze
3. Wait for the bot's answer If the bot has found the song, it tells you that it has added it to the queue. If it couldn't find it, it says so too; then change the spelling and try again.
4. If it isn't found, write less Don't try to write the full title. Just the artist's name or a single distinctive word from the song often works better. 💡 Some records in the archive are missing the artist information; in that case searching with the song title alone gets results.
5. Wait your turn Requests are played in order. A new one doesn't start before the current song is over; sending the same request one after another doesn't speed up the queue.
6. If you want to know what is playing You can see what is on air from the radio page or from the information line in the channel.
