How to start a live broadcast on the site

To start a live broadcast on Yudum.NET you don't need broadcasting programs, configuration files or server addresses — the webchat itself is enough. You can open a chat broadcast with your camera, or share your screen and run a music or gaming broadcast.

There is only one condition: the broadcaster badge. Permission to start a broadcast works through the badge — if you have it, a 📺 button appears in the webchat's top bar. If you don't have the badge, don't worry: all you have to do is reach the admins in the chat and tell them you want to be a broadcaster.

Your broadcast lands on the site: viewers come in from the Broadcasters page with a single click, and people who are not members can watch too. When you close the broadcast everything ends; no recording is kept.

1. Get the broadcaster badge Permission to start a broadcast is given through a badge. Tell a moderator in the chat that you want to be a broadcaster; once the badge is assigned to your account, your 📺 button appears.
2. Log in to the webchat Log in with your account at sohbet.yudum.net. If you have the badge, you will see the 📺 icon in the top bar, next to the voice room button.
3. Press the 📺 button The broadcast panel opens: camera + microphone, or screen sharing? With screen sharing you can send the system sound as well — ideal for a music broadcast.
4. Give the browser permission On your first broadcast the browser asks for camera/microphone permission. Check in the preview that the right device is selected.
5. Start broadcasting The moment you start, your broadcast lands on the site; your name appears on the Broadcasters page and in the Live Broadcasts box on the home page.
6. Share your link Share the address of your broadcast page in the feed or in the chat. A viewer comes in with a single click; there is a chat running on the broadcast page too.
7. Close it when you finish When you stop the broadcast everything ends; no recording is kept. If you are going to broadcast regularly, announce the time — viewers come out of habit.
