Atalay Demirci, who was born in Nallıhan on July 8, 1976, is a versatile artist active in many fields such as television and radio programming, writing, poetry, acting and comedy.
Demirci, who took his first step on the stage in 1999, started to perform regularly on the stage of Ankara Sanat Evi since 2008. In the same year, he presented the program "Akıl Küpleri" on Ses TV, and in 2011 he played the character of Tetikçi Bedo in the movie "Hop Dedik: Deli Dumrul". The artist, who won first place in the "Talent You Are Turkey" competition in 2013 and brought his show "Kel Alaka" to the stage, made sure that this program was broadcast on TV8 channel in 2014, and in the same year, he introduced the competition format called "We Asked 100 People" to the audience.
In 2015, he took part as a contestant in the New Year's special episode of "O Ses Türkiye" and in the same year, he played the leading role in the movie "Güvercin Uçuverdi" as Yüksel Güvercin. To date, it has gained an international audience by performing more than 3 thousand shows in 34 different countries.
His social media account was taken over by a hacker group called Ayyıldız Tim, and he was detained within the scope of the FETO/PDY investigation on August 5, 2016, after his alleged correspondence with Hakan Şükür and Enes Kanter was echoed in the media. One day later, on August 6, he was referred to the Ankara 4th Criminal Court of Peace and arrested on the charge of "being a member of a terrorist organization".
This case resulted in a 5-year prison sentence on the charge of "being a member of an armed terrorist organization" at the hearing held on 3 March 2020 at the Ankara 19th High Criminal Court, and the decision was approved by the 22nd Criminal Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice on 29 June 2021.
