Ben McKenzie (full name Benjamin McKenzie Schenkkan; born September 12, 1978) is an American actor. He is known for his character "Ryan Atwood" on The O.C. and "Ben Sherman" on Southland. Although his first films were Junebug and 88 Minutes, his first starring role was 2008's Johnny Got His Gun. He has been playing the character of James Gordon in the TV series Gotham since 2014.
