İbrahim Bora Ayanoğlu was born on November 23, 1946 in Istanbul. His father was the well-known theater actor and director Sami Ayanoğlu, and his mother was Şayeste Savaşman, Turkey's first female theater owner. After graduating from Galatasaray High School, he joined the Istanbul Municipality City Theater as a trainee actor in 1963 and stepped into the world of cinema by acting in films with Cüneyt Arkın.

In the same period, he also started composing game soundtracks. Ayanoğlu, who was introduced to the trumpet department of the conservatory during his high school years, learned to play the guitar in a short time and developed his talent as a composer; His works were sung by popular names of the period such as Alpay, Neco, AsuMaralman and TanjuOkan.

The photo of a worker woman rolling tobacco that he saw in a newspaper in 1969 inspired him and he gave the song born from this theme to Alpay. Instead of remaining only as an actor on film sets, he decided to record his own voice and sing his songs. This versatile approach has allowed his hit songs to top the charts.
