Bora Ebeoğlu was born in Ankara on January 1, 1962 and started his music career by meeting Oya Küçümen through Melih Kibar during his university years. The duo performed in events such as Eurovision and Kuşadası Altın Güvercin Music Competition under the name "Grup Denk" in the late 1980s, and then gained a place in the music world by releasing the albums "Akvaryum" (1987) and "Tiryaki" (1990).
They reached a wide audience with songs such as “Tasvir-i Complaint”, “Paydos”, “Aşk‑ı Memnu” and “Onikiden”.
The duo, which has continued under the name "Oya-Bora" since 1992, left its mark on the pop music of the 90s with the albums "Seni Bana Yazımışlar" (1992), "Saraylı" (1994) and "Aşk, İhanet, Vs..." (1997). Songs such as "Seni Bana Written", "Ara Beni", "Sevme Zamanı", "Saraylı", "Belli Belli" and "Yalancı Darling" have become among the classics of Turkish pop music.
After 1997, Oya-Bora stayed away from album production due to disagreements with the music company, and Bora founded a music group called "Aria" with his university friend Cengiz Onural and focused on producing music for TV series, films and commercials. He has undertaken the music of productions such as “Sıcak Saatler”, “Hayat Bağları”, “Ekmek Teknesi” and “Deli Yürek”; The albums "Deli Yürek" and "Deli Yürek II" were among the best-selling soundtrack albums in Turkey.
While he was a soloist in the classical Turkish music group Incesaz in the early 2000s, he also continued his work as a songwriter and composer.
Bora Ebeoğlu, who married Oya Küçümen in 2003, won many awards throughout his career and started releasing new albums as Oya-Bora since 2013. Bora, who has been interested in music since his childhood and graduated from Boğaziçi University Electrical and Electronics Engineering, took part as a soloist in the orchestra directed by Melih Kibar when Yamaha entered Turkey and thus stepped into the world of commercial music.
Kibar's song "Halley" ranked 9th in Eurovision, which was the highest ranking of that period, and made a big impact.
