Bülent İğdiroğlu was born on January 1, 1956. He is one of the popular faces of Yeşilçam, known for his character "Kalem Şakir" in "Hababam Class", one of the most unforgettable film series of Turkish cinema, and is remembered with this role.
His entry into his acting career took place at a time when the legendary director of Turkish cinema, Ertem Eğilmez, was looking for new and young faces for "Hababam Class". İğdiroğlu, who participated in the auditions, was found successful and suddenly found himself among the crowded and talented cast of one of the most iconic productions of Turkish cinema.
This experience became the most well-known and important step of his career. He made a place in the audience's memory with the character of "Kalem Şakir", one of the studious and bespectacled students of the class, who usually sat in the front rows and was accused of spying, in the movie "Hababam Class" (1975), adapted from Rıfat Ilgaz's immortal work.
He became an integral part of the chaotic yet friendly atmosphere of the class, with his character being a frequent target in the cheating attempts of Nek Şaban and other mischievous students. İğdiroğlu became identified with this role by portraying the same character in the sequels of the series, "Hababam Classi Remained in the Class" (1975) and "Hababam Classi Uyaniyor" (1976).
