Deniz Orhun

Deniz Orhun is a Turkish chef, television presenter and producer specializing in pastry. He is known for his transition from the engineering and corporate business world to the kitchen and his long-running cooking programs.

He was born in Ankara in 1974. He studied agricultural engineering at Ankara University and then completed his master's degree in business administration. In the early years of his career, he worked in international companies; During this period, he traveled to different countries such as Sweden, Dubai and Brazil.

Transition to the kitchen

She left her corporate career to study pastry and baking at Kendall College in Chicago. He worked as a pastry chef at the Four Seasons hotel in Chicago. He represented Türkiye at an international culinary festival and won first place. In 2010, he was among the chefs invited to the White House for President Barack Obama's birthday.

He founded the patisserie brand Klemantin in 2008. He gave pastry lessons at Istanbul Bilgi University for a period.

He presented and produced cooking programs on television. Kitchen Stories from the Sea, which was broadcast in 2013-2015 and reached more than 500 episodes, and Patisserie, which was broadcast on TRT 1 in 2015-2016, are among these programs. He also prepared special culinary programs for the month of Ramadan.

Orhun continues his work in a line that advocates making traditional recipes practical by using contemporary techniques in the home kitchen.
