Ebru Elver is a Turkish pop singer born in 1980 in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. He is known for his debut album Paranoid, released in 2006; This work attracted attention by combining pop music with electronic dance and house elements.
Growing up in a family of musicians, Elver followed in the footsteps of his two older brothers who turned to music before him. He gained his first stage experiences in venues in Taksim. During this period, he met jazz musician Genco Arı and bassist Elcil Gürel; With the three of them coming together, Elver's solo album project took shape.
The album work was completed in 2006 and the project was presented to producer Ercan Saatçi. Paranoid was released as the first release of Saatçi's newly established Rec by Saatchi label. In addition to Elver's own compositions, the album also included a song by Ercan Saatçi. Genco Arı undertook most of the arrangements; Elcil Gürel contributed to the arrangement of some tracks and accompanied Elver as a duet in the song titled Yalnızlığım.
The seven-track album includes songs such as Paranoyak, Yok Bi'şey, Değerini Biliyorum and Aşkın Expression.
Elver is remembered as one of the first names to use electronic infrastructure in Turkish pop music with his first album.
