Eren Özmen

Eren Özmen is a name that was born in September 1958 and wrote the story of his rise in America with his own hands. Eren Özmen, who joined Sierra Nevada Corporation in 1988 after receiving a master's degree in Business Management from the University of Nevada, Reno, purchased the entire company with her husband Fatih Özmen in 1994.

Since then, she has not only made the company one of America's most important federal contractors owned by women entrepreneurs, but also has taken it to a respected position in the international arena.

Eren Özmen's strategic vision lies behind the fact that Sierra Nevada Corporation operates in six different business lines. Providing services in a wide range from space systems to electronic warfare, from communication solutions to aviation technologies, the company works with a qualified team of approximately 3 thousand people in 33 different facilities.

One of the most important stops in this success story is the development project of the new generation spacecraft called Dream Chaser, which was implemented in 2014. Under the leadership of Eren Özmen, SNC stands out not only with its commercial success but also with its contributions to the academic world.

Eren Özmen and Fatih Özmen's donation of 5 million dollars to the University of Nevada was an important step towards developing the entrepreneurship culture. Thanks to this support, the university established a permanent center to support innovative business ideas and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem. At the same time, the numerous awards the company has received show how valuable this leadership approach is.

Acquisitions also played an important role in SNC's growth process. Eren Özmen, who has acquired companies in different geographies from Germany to America, from Turkey to England since 2012, emphasizes that each of them takes the company's technological and operational capacity one step further. These strategic moves have taken SNC beyond being just a company and positioned it among the most innovative players in the industry.
