Ferda Anıl Yarkın was born on 21 August 1970 in Istanbul. He is the son of Güngör Yarkın and composer Naval Petty Officer Kamuran Yarkın; Ferruh and Fahrettin Yarkın, the founders of Yarkın Rhythm Group, are his older brothers. Nağme Yarkın and Baturay Yarkın are known in the music world as his nephews. Since he directed the Çanakkale Choir in a television competition in 2009, the misconception that he was of Çanakkale origin also emerged.
Ferda, who graduated from the Violin Department of the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory, attracted attention in the pop music scene of the 1990s with her emotional songs such as "Üzülme" and "Sonuna Kadar" and her constant black clothes. The album Don't think I forgot, released in 1999, did not attract enough attention due to the earthquake that took place in the same year, and the artist had to take a break from his music career for seven years.
During this period, he kept in touch with music by writing songs for the albums of famous names such as Cengiz Kurtoğlu, İbrahim Tatlıses, Kibariye and Müslüm Gürses.
Ferda, who returned to the stage in 2006 with the album Let's Not Leave, coached Helin Avşar in the program "We Have to Sing" in 2007, and two years later, she directed the Çanakkale Choir in "Chorals Colliding". The group called "Çılgınlar Kulübü", which he founded with Metin Özülkü, Eda Özülkü and Yeşim Salkım, shot its first video clip with the song "Armadın Aydır" in the summer of 2019 and continued its stage performances.
Today, he produces new works in studios and actively contributes to music life by giving concerts in various venues.
