Gönül Ferman Doesn't Listen is a local comedy series that was broadcast on Show TV in the spring of 2010. Şenol Sönmez was sitting in the director's chair of the series prepared by EBS Production. Melek Baykal and Engin Şenkan shared the leading roles.
The story takes place around Gönül and Ferman, a couple who have been married for thirty years and are still attached to each other. The couple continues their daily lives with their children while hosting their friends and regulars at the tavern they run together in their neighborhood. In the thirtieth year of their marriage, the emergence of Ferman's two children, Tommy and Suzy, from his previous wife, initiates a chain of events that shakes the order of the family.
The leading actors said that the production aimed to remind the values that were about to be forgotten in Turkish society. Names such as Nail Kırmızıgül and Ali Atay were also included in the squad.
The series started on April 4, 2010, but did not reach the expected viewing rates. It was taken off the air after the third episode, which was shown on April 18, 2010, and remained among the short-lived productions.
